I wasn't too fussed one way or the other, but the last 10mins were great. Awesome penalty kick from the halfway line!

Aye and not going for the draw, I shouted out they bottled it.

Can't fault Wales though (well I can but I wont), had to dig deep to stay in the game and were 1 injury away from having Tipuric in the back line, game looked finished with 10 mins to go.

Rather than wasting all this energy playing against each other England and Wales should just team up to take on the French, and Scottish. Waleland has a ring to it

I'm half-watching the England vs. Australia game. It would probably be more fun if I knew the rules of Rugby.

I think Australia look like the strongest of the teams I've watched so far.

NZ look error prone, SA although solid and efficient look off the pace. Australia looked impressive and looked like they could step up a gear but did seem like they were tiring around the 60min mark.

If only they played like they just did against Uruguay this in the other games. I barely know anything about Rugby but they seemed to be massively more composed .

Well done Scotty :D Don't get too excited, SA are getting stronger as the tournament goes on, then there's NZ standing in the way of the final :)

Although I'm still laughing, it sucks balls that Englands the only home nation that never made it through.

Reckon Aus VS NZ final

Awesome try at the end by South Africa there . Shame for Wales though.

Apart from the World Cup I generally find football (and sport) boring. How is it more popular than rugby given rugby appears to so much more interesting and exciting? - I can actually see myself getting into it.

I would imagine that football used to be better, before it was awash in money and rife with pussy players that fake injuries every 3 seconds. But I agree, rugby is definitely more interesting.

Innit, harsh as fuck that :/

Before the tournament, the most likely to progress and possibly get to the final were -

England (you could prolly switch with Ireland but the hype train was rocketing)
Ireland
Wales
Scotland

In reality it was -

Scotland
Wales
Ireland
England

Sucks dick that none of the north made it to the semis

I don't know the rules of rugby so I had no idea what was going on in this match I was watching, but it looks like a proper man's game. There was a dude bleeding from his face on the field on no one gave a crap, including himself. How refreshing after the whiny bitches from that FIFA game.

Oh now that sounds like a splendid idea. Afterwards we could have a pint and discuss the finer points of the Android eco-system.

Sometimes it can get out of hand. I've watched some games locally at the University level and I've seen some petty shit go down. One game I was at, some dude got his head purposely stomped on and it almost turned into a brawl between the entire field, all players. One of the coaches was able to run in there and split it all apart before it got really ugly. The game had to be halted for a few minutes as various players were screaming obscenities at each other and threatening their life, etc. :olo: Afterward everyone got cleaned up and we went out for pints and no one seemed to care or even talk about the incident. There is a certain strange sense of uprightness in rugby, where you're expected to behave and be total civil outside the realm of the field, even if some dude punched you in the face when the ref wasn't looking. Most of the rugby guys I know (playing for 10+ years) are tough as nails because of this. Generally the game is very civil and sportsmanlike though. I've only seen petty shit like this a handful of times in all the games I've seen.
