Check out NCIX's prices, they have zero stock and are selling non-FE cards for over $1000. $919 is still way above the MSRP and not worth it, especially with Ti and Titan versions coming out in less than a year. Did you get your 1080s yet?

Yeah NCIX is abusing it, but Newegg is OK assuming you get it in stock. I think $729.99 USD or $919.99 CAD is fair for the GTX 1080 AMP! Extreme, it's a pretty nice custom board.

Haven't received my cards yet, Purolator is having issues right now due to Canada Post lockout.

BTW, Titan P is apparently going to be announced in mid-August 2016. Are you planning on getting one?

No because they'll probably be +1000 USD. The 1070 will cruise through 1440p and I can upgrade to whatever Ti version will be available in a couple years.

And yeah, shipping is ass right now. If you've been waiting over two weeks, I'm not holding much hope for my card. If I don't get shipping confirmation within a few days, I'll cancel my order.

You get a tracking number but not tracking info until it reaches Canada.

Are you still waiting? My Amazon shipment arrived today, 3 days late. I'm hoping Newegg won't have a worse delay than that.

Yeah I got them 10 days ago. Had an issue because of a bad RAM stick though. Hope it works now.

Mine's been sitting in the Purolator depot a few kilometres away for over a week and they won't give me the option of picking it up. Morons

Guys, I had really bad stuttering issues in GTA V regardless of graphics setting. All the stuttering is gone if I run the game in Win 10 rather than Win 8.1 (tested by dual booting). Looks like I'm not alone either. Other games run smoother too, such as Dying Light.

$1600 in Canada

I got sick of Purolator's BS, been almost 3 weeks and my 1070 is still sitting in a sorting facility so I just bought the Zotac Amp! Extreme 1080 from NCIX with store pickup.

Got a MSI Gaming X 1070 in the mail on Fri. First card I've ever owned that holds 60FPS in any game (so far), with all graphics settings cranked.

Still haven't tried Witcher 3 w/ hairworks though. :olo:

Installed the NVIDIA SLI HB bridge. No measurable framerate difference in these benchmarks at 7680x1440 versus the two single flex bridges I used before.

- Rise of the Tomb Raider
- Dirt Rally
- GTA V
- Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition

Games run smooth, but they ran smooth before too. I can't say whether it feels any smoother now. Maybe a little, but that's just my subjective opinion.

It looks kinda cool I guess. I wish it glowed red though.

Guys, what are you speculations regarding TITAN X Pascal and GTX 1080 Ti?

Honestly, I'm not sure what to expect. Big Maxwell was a full GM200 Titan X with 12GB for $999 USD and 2.5 months later a cut-down GM200 980 Ti 6GB for $649 USD.

So far big Pascal is a cut-down GP102 with 12GB GDDR5X for $1200 USD, so what's next?

Here's what I think the 1080 Ti will be: 3328-core GP102, reference and custom boards, 10GB GDDR5X, $799 USD - within 3 months.

Opinions?

Just picked up a LGA 1151 mobo, i7 6700k, 64MB of DDR4 3333 and two M.2 SSDs. I just got a 980TI not too long ago. So I'll probably run that until the 1080TIs come out.

Youll destroy most games with that set up

That's the plan. ;)

I also want to get back into video recording and editing. This rig should make short work of post processing.

My current PC is 5 years old. I'm thinking about building a low end i5 6500 / GTX 1060 / 16 GB RAM machine for Overwatch, Diablo 3, and perhaps Doom. Thoughts? Merits of going 6600 or 6600k? I don't plan on overclocking. I'll be getting a new 144 Hz 1080p screen as well [either Asus VG248QE or BenQ XL2411Z]. So I don't plan on moving up to 1440p yet. I figure this should be enough to run current / near future [let's say a year out] games at 150fps+ @ 1080p on high settings? Of course, I don't expect that to last 2-3 years or more, but I'm OK with dropping to medium when the time comes. I don't want to spend GTX 1080 levels of money, and it seems the GTX 1070 is less vfm than the 1060. Wouldn't mind getting some input and advice, as I haven't been following PC component trends or reviews for many years.
