No point arguing aboout stuff now. Its happened so sleeves up and lets get started in not turning into a country of whinging tits.

It's the same with dole 'bums' though, tarnishing with the same brush then blaming them for being scroungers and all that is wrong, for the most part they seek work and find jobs. Dunno why your defending immigration to me.

and hey, guess which generation swung the vote for leave? :p

Means nothing without the volumes. I bet the 18-24 turnout was low.

You'd be right, cos oldies would've come out in force.

Sadly I know a lot of people who pump kids out to get money and bigger houses. No intention of working ever. So they are to blame as much as the tax evading corporations as far as I'm concerned.

And who's getting the blame ?, there are people, just as there are migrants that don't work but as austerity measures ramp up and benefits are stipped down who's getting all the tax breaks and non investigation of tax dodging ?, 30bln in dodged taxes every year yo, that'll fund the dole 5x over

The result we have is due to a class war. The lower paid, hard done by, the world owes us, life was better in the 70s type people have risen up mostly sucked in by UKIP and that's why immigration has played a huge part in the vote.

People do need to stop bitching though, democracy is a bitch.

Nicked from FB....

Were you a Remain campaigner? Are you sore about the referendum result? Check out these 10 top self-comforting strategies.

1.) Call every white person who voted Leave a "racist", ignoring the fact that Europeans are also white. Make sure you ignore and marginalise ethnic minority leave voters.

2.) Claim that the (huge) turnout wasn't high enough. 72%? It should have been at least 75%! 80%? It should have been 85%! Make sure to keep moving the goalposts.

3.) Make a stupid e-petition demanding another referendum, just like the socialists did when Labour lost last year. We need to keep having referendums until we get the "right" result.

4.) Get over-excited about the economy, even if the impact has been pretty boring and mundane. Pretend that your 2:2 in English Literature makes you an expert on currency markets.

5.) Attack the very idea of Democracy, because it's only a good thing when it goes the way you want it to. Working class voters don't know what's good for them, but middle class liberals definitely do.

6.) Share memes bashing Brexit, ignoring the unwelcome and uncomfortable realisation that you are in the minority of public opinion.

7.) Boldly claim that Scotland will leave the UK, forgetting that A) they can't afford to B) the EU can't afford to take them C) 1.6m remain votes don't cancel out 2m NO votes.

8.) Make fun of Boris Johnson while sweating slightly and really hoping he doesn't become Prime Minister.

9.) Learn absolutely nothing from the campaign, blaming the result on everyone but yourself. Scaremongering and bullying are clearly the best tactics to use, there's no way they could possibly backfire.

10.) Curl up in a ball and cry yourself to sleep while listening to "Ode to Joy".

I'd say they were sucked in due to project fear on immigration etc, the hammer the Tories (and ukip) use to beat the opposition when they get accused of a failing economy (amoungst others).

Got as far as #1 too

Can't be racist to white people ?

Ok let me rephrase

Quote:
Unchecked mass immigration. Censorship. A decade of lies upon lies, from both our main parties. Laced with propaganda, amidst a consistant downward spiral of wealth inequality. All adds up.

That is our own governments fault and the blame is being left at Europes door ?

uh, what? how does someone scrounging in the low thousands compare with corporations evading billions in tax?

also, which of the above gets the red carpet treatment by government and media?

Did you vote Leave? Are you holding a street party? Check out these 10 top self-delusion strategies:

1) Call everyone who voted Remain an elitist, while forgetting that a lot of people just like you in your shitty, deprived neighbourhood also voted Remain.

2) Claim that 51.9% is a huge majority that cancels out the 48.1% minority. Totally.

3) Insist on a second referendum when the government negotiates Britain into the single market, and you're stuck with all the same immigrants you started with because that's a condition of being in the single market.

4) Start believing your financial circumstances will improve as a result of Brexit, when it's actually your own government who are fucking you.

5) Sing songs of praise about democracy, just because it went your way this one time.

6) Continue sharing memes bashing the EU, ignoring point #4

7) Boldly claim that Scotland won't vote for independence, forgetting that A) they voted overwhelmingly to Remain B) they care more about the EU than the UK and C) 53-47% in favour of Leave in England doesn't cancel out 62-38% in favour of Remain in Scotland.

8) Make fun of Angela Merkel while sweating slightly and really hoping she doesn't have the final word in withdrawal negotiations.

9) Learn nothing from the campaign, and start believing you represent the average Brit (see also #2) as your country falls apart. Mindless optimism is clearly the best tactic, there's no way it could possibly be misplaced.

10) Drink yourself into a coma singing God Save the Queen, then wake up and realise you accidentally burned your own house down. That's a metaphor, by the way.

That's an overgeneralisation. Elders have seen the effects of the EU first-hand throughout their lives, no? They're supposed to yield to the infinite wisdom of those still in education and yet to figure out that they still may end up feeling fucked after fourty years of wage slaving? .

Well, I think we can assume that the voter turnout in each category is representative for that age group. After that, absolute numbers are irrelevant.

I have a hard time believing that. Maybe I'm being naive, but getting a child just for social benefits is beyond fucked up.

Especially because I don't believe for a moment that a child is a monetary net positive in any case.

Sure, older people may know more and have more life experience but that doesn't mean they're all "wise" when it comes to every subject imaginable. I think most of those 40+ voters had no clue what they were actually voting for or against.

It may not be the equation theyre using, the equation could be - I'm poor but I want a kid + government can pay for it = win/win. That's the arguement.

I know people who will never work because they could never be employed, singe mothers ^ / dole bums that throughout their life are mostly reliant on government. If they could earn money they would imo and it's not like they live the life of Riley. There's restrictions too, if you can work then you work for free, if your a single mum you need to be seeking work by the time the child is 3, 2 child limit etc etc so to suggest these people would rather do that than work for money is bold.

Memphs example of council estates, they don't exist anymore. Oh yea, it would also be near impossible for the majority of people in my area to survive with children without some form of government support, even when working full time, these measures are there to bring people above the poverty line, not offer a free ride and all this kinda ties into my arguements about low pay + higher cost to living.

Plus they only started getting blamed when the credit crunch happened, ya know, 5 million people suddenly decided to quit their jobs and live on the dole :dork:

We can actually do an equation for single mothers, all we need to do is work out how many people in this country have more than 20 kids, those will be the people who intentionally have children to avoid working.
