I've worked for companys that have quotas on the amount of minorities they should recruit just so they can say they employ X amount and are so diverse. That's fucking racist to me, like it's some fucking handicap ?

Drawing the race line in the 1st place is the problem, and wether its films or games, for varying reasons, should be allowed the freedom to chose as they wish without having to appease X amount of sjw's.

I don't know shit about the UK, but if the population is 50/50 between sexes, isn't it about right to have a split? Isn't the labour cabinet supposed to be a representation of the people? Are there specific people who you don't think are qualified or some shit? Lets say it was 90% white guys, you'd be cool with that, assume everything is on the up and up, and barely any qualified women want to be on the labor cabinet? Lets say there are no qualified women, wouldn't you want to explore that and figure out why that is?

The reason for affirmative action is because a lot of people are racist and sexist and will often opt to go with the white guy. This is only one of the many reasons why it's harder to be black and poor. If you're black and not in jail, hey you won half the battle. While affirmative action is a shitty solution, it's the closest thing to fair because you can't really stop people from being racist assholes other than mandating that they bring in a few black people. I mean, you can still have a bunch of white people, but hey how about some black people too? Maybe a less qualified black person will take a more qualified white guys job. Maybe an unqualified white guy will take a more qualified black guys job because of racism. All we got are numbers. Only 3 percent of twitter employees are black or latino? Affirmative action can be problematic. I have difficulty in seeing it as a simple case of picking so many of each 'type' of people (retches a bit) and stacking boardrooms with bodies, marginalised by colour, like it's some quite dodgy game of Connect 4.

It is understandable to want, nay need representation and opportunity, although it's where and who gets trimmed and if it can be done as fairly as possible, at the end of the day.
