Then you're the only one that likes it ;p

VS

Plus the stupidity of having 2 groups of shortcuts right next to each other in the same pane :dork:

Plus Classicshell gives you context / cascade menus

Where else do you keep your shortcuts ?, I don't like clutter on the desktop or in the start bar.

Plus search, which I use all the time.

Aye, that's how I use it. Or winkey > select shortcut / shortcuts context menu.

Classic menu makes sense to me cos you have all your shortcuts on the left pane and system shortcuts on the right pane. Win10 clutters that up and my goal would be to get it roughly back to that basic set up, so might aswell go grab the classic shell.

Have been doing this since XP so if you guys get around your desktop in a better way then lemme know.

winkey+r > type in cmd, press enter > then navigate in files using cd and dir commands > like a boss

Pin 'em to start menu then.

I still don't see the difference to the old one, other than being able to group shit better now.

That's what I do, only there was another shortcut pane that I assume to be designed for touch screen where before I used to have a nice menu containing system folders (documents, C drive etc) which I use quite frequently.

Why I said instead of customising the options I might aswell skip straight to classic shell seeing as my goal would be to recreate it. There's no way you'd need that many shortcuts, you might aswell click 'all programs' instead of creating the clutter.

I liked the win-xp look, especially for the start-menu.

I have my start menu really nicely set out for work, I love it: All my most used applications organised into relevant groups. Takes a while to get it all setup, but it's really efficient to not have to go to desktop in order to launch another program, and the rightclick document list on each icon is super useful too.

Still not upgraded my home PC, probably won't until games start demanding it.

Autohide is for noobs.

It's for what you currently have opened.

So if I'm not using Afterburner there's no need for it to be there and cluttering my workspace otherwise.

I just realised all MS have done is move the 'all programs' to the right pane and made it icon only :olo:

Well think about it, if I got 10 shortcuts and migrate them to the start bar you aint gonna be using them all at once and thats alot of clutter

Yep, anal. It only adds to the taskbar if you open something that's not already a shortcut there.
