Hence, "properly invest in green infrastructure and renewable energy." For all the resistance to renewable energy some people have, we'd still be using steam engines if the same line of stagnant thinking dominated the dawn of the industrial age. At some point humanity just decided mediocrity is good enough.

We've fully tapped the potential of crude and nuclear and by the time we're estimated to have a functional fusion reactor (if it can even be done), humanity will have descended into chaos due to ecological turmoil. Otherwise we might as well get to work building spike-covered dune buggies and flamethrower guitars.

Solar and wind is a good start, but it doesn't generate nearly enough power to meet demands. Those two options in particular are also dependant on specific weather/daytime circumstances.

Yes it does from what I see on the Gomorrah trailer. I'll add to my 'to watch' list now

I'm being told to watch Silicon Valley, is it worth it? Watched the pilot for Billions last night, acting was decent but not sure if the subject matter can be stretched across so many seasons without getting boring or repetitive.

Also watched the pilot for Good Girls; it's unfunny and boring but tries hard. Kinda like the Geoff of TV.

Agreed. Big fan of Barry and Soho Hank.

Just finished Chernobyl. Good stuff. HBO deserves all the Emmy noms (even though the award shows are bullshit)...

Harrow

An Australian TV series, just two seasons thus far and I just finished the final episode of season 2. Really good with a few twists you will find interesting. If you can, watch it.

Quote:
Harrow tells the story of Dr. Daniel Harrow, a forensic pathologist with a total disregard for authority.

Yeah it's a bit too obvious who they're talking about, isn't it?
Season 4 has all but officially been confirmed. Supposedly there will be a season 5 as well but that's still not a certainty.

OK so I loved Stranger Things 3, but I have some questions that I think need addressing...In fact, just the one question

How the fuck did the Russians set up that facility under the noses of what should have been a hive of "official activity" given the events of the previous seasons?!

That's why it was done underground, plus the mayor (which btw I didn't realize till the end of the season is the Dread Pirate Roberts) was paid to look the other way.

I really liked Steve "the Hair" Harrington and Maya Hawke interactions. Though she sides on the carpet munchers.

I recently found out that Maya Hawke (Robin) is Uma Thurman's (and Ethan Hawke's) daughter.

I can’t wait to be a Starlink customer and will be the first to sign up. My ISP is shit.

I just hope it doesn’t fuck up the night’s sky. I’d rather look at the stars unobstructed than have high speed internet...
