It's almost like you should evacuate.
Re: Geoff
Board shit up and get out if i were you. Honestly, hope it goes your way.YourGrandpa wrote:Well, things are progressively getting worse. The storm is currently not tracking east enough to prevent eye wall impact and the projected impact speed in my area has been increased to a Cat 4. To top it all off, my generator isn't going to be here either.
leave that shit bike out tho...

The shutters are up and we are stocked with provisions. There's just a few more things to put away...
Usually hurricanes go up one of the two coast or across the state. Giving you multiple directions to travel. This hurricane is tracking straight up the center of the state, so the only way to run is north. Our only hope now is it pushes east or west of us. Because the interstates are jammed and there's really nowhere to run. It's so hard to predict where exactly this storm is going to be and how bad it's going to be when it gets here. Last night it seemed ok, today not so much. This could still change dramatically for the better or worse. We shall see...

Re: Geoff
The generator is actually sitting in a transfer hub in Georgia. Upon purchase it had a projected delivery date of 9/8. UPS is delivering tomorrow. So it had a chance of getting here if it had shipped sooner. It's new scheduled delivery date is 9/15. We could still be out of power by then. So it would be a welcomed relief, as it's the same size as my old generator and able to run the whole house.seremtan wrote:somewhere on one of those red lines is Brian's now-useless generator

Good luck gwamps, I hope it misses you and the rest of Florida.
Have you installed LEDs on the underside of your house just in case though?

If they would steer this storm away I'd install them right now.
