Yeah, I need to go about 400 miles to the totality zone. I'm thinking about just staying home and viewing it. I'll be at about 87%.

But I'd still like to see it 100%...

Smithville Lake, north of Kansas City looks like a good spot. Get out of the city. Wanna meet me there Geoff? I've got an extra pair of viewing glasses...

Ooooooooo.

Will be peepin' it from Vancouver. Close enough for me. What is totality, 2 minutes or so? Not worth the trek... I'll stare straight into the eclipse on 300 mics of LSD, it'll be grand.

saw a partial eclipse here 20th March 2015

pretty nifty. of course if this happened around geoff's way they'd probably sacrifice some virgins to bring back the day ball (assuming they could even find any virgins) :|

Do yourself a favor and don't take pics. Have fun.

It's too far of a drive for me, but in 2024 another total eclipse will actually come through my state, and I may not even need to leave my house for the best view.

Damn, lucky.

The one in 2024 will be closer for me too, but I figured I might as well see this one too. Ya never know, the weather may not cooperate. Or I could even be dead...

That's how I'm looking at it. A lot can happen between now and 2024.

Change of plans. Clouds in Nebraska, so we drove to Wyoming. 12 hour drive, but I feel pretty confident the skies will be clear. Way excited for tomorrow :D

Well, that was truly amazing. Something that is really indescribable. As cliche as it sounds, the photos and videos really fail to duplicate the experience. If I can say one thing to you guys, it's go see a solar eclipse in the path of totality before you die. Amazing.

It's practically impossible to photograph the eclipse without some serious gear. So all I can really offer you guys is the landscape before and during totality.

I actually kinda regret taking pictures. It's such a short extraordinary experience, photographs are wasted on it...
