I've been advised by our security team not to use that app due to it being developed in Russia and it being suspected of gathering data for the upcoming US election.

I actually installed it, took one picture, then put my tin hat on and deleted it

This app is interesting, but I don't even intent to use it. First, I don't have iPhone, so I can't use the app. Second, I'm not interested to see my older "me", so I guess I shall only laugh over old "me" of my friends :D

They use that info to build profiles on you so they can create custom algorithms that push narratives to you so they can control what you think. See Cambridge Analytica for an example. If you believe you're immune the opposite is more likely. There's substantial evidence Trump was elected using these techniques to sway voters with custom targeted propaganda using this type of metadata. You guys are litteral sheep, people who know nothing about this stuff are the most affected.

Last stress test said I had a .9% chance of having a heart attack in the next 5 years. So you're not probably wrong, just wrong.
