The wife and I have not had it despite the embrace of Covid by everyone in Florida.

I don't think I've gotten it yet. If I have, I've been asymptomatic.

I picked up a cold in a hockey dressing room back in December and gave it to my girlfriend, but she tested negative. That was the only covid scare we've had since the pandemic started :paranoid:

Same here. Got a couple months to go, so we’re still being extra cautious…

I’ve not had the pleasure, but one by one everyone at work is getting it so it’s only a matter of time. 3 of my staff went snowboarding this past weekend, one called in sick Monday and Tuesday, but tested negative Tuesday on a RAT and I had him return Wednesday, then a second one that was off yesterday messaged me this morning that he wasn’t feeling good but tested negative yesterday only to test again today and positive. No doubt the third is going to be sick in the next couple of days as well.

Got tested positive yesterday. Wooh, second time I. 3 months. Awesome.
I feel like I have a bit of a cold. Sore throat, bit of a headache, bit tired. But that's it.
Did an antigen home test the same day which showed negative by the way.

Of course! Scrub the balls with the cotton swab then insert it into the pee hole and rotate 4 - 5 times. But these tests come back negative every single time!

Jerry do you think you had Delta and then Omicron? You've had how many vaccinations at this point? Just trying to figure out if I should drink some of your blood for its super immunity properties. A month from now you should be bullet proof.

I have had two shots of Pfizer back in late July. I think I had Delta in November. That was just before Omicron became a thing. I assume it's Omicron this time around.

Even facemasks are (mostly) going away. And this while a month ago they went "oh no, homemade cloth masks aren't enough, you really need PPE2 masks".

welp I spoke too soon I guess, got another cold (thanks hockey bros who don't believe in masks) and just got a positive rapid test. Started with a mild fever and aches, now just a really bad strep-like sore throat.

Hang in there Lizzy

Over here it's like COVID never existed. Everything's back to normal.
I'm actually going to a concert (Dream Theater w/Devin Townsend as support act) today for the first time in a verrrrrry long time.

same here in UK. i still hand sanitise like crazy after every trip to a store, and the WFH arrangement now appears to be permanent, but other than that everything's gone back to normally, i.e. fucked up with Tories in charge and a cost-of-living crisis due to inflation :dork:

Aye, I'm in the same boat as seremtan I think - personally continuing the hygiene/sanitisation part of it, but mask usage seems to be almost entirely gone. If I was going to be on public transport or somewhere particularly crowded I think I'd be using one though. Even in a fully post-covid situation I'm far more aware of airborne transmission routes now than I ever was, for things like minor colds etc. Gross.

interesting how a lot of places that were praised in 2020 for "handling covid well" are now seeing huge numbers. at least it's omicron though

I guess it has a lot to do with us here being mostly either vaccinated or already infected, while in a country like China, their vaccinated people turn out to not be that resistant at all and barely anyone has already gone through an infection.

Today the war in Ukraine is the number one topic in media, coronavirus kinda fell behind. People jokingly say that Putin is the best doctor, he cured covid :D
