At least some of your state governors seem to e taking things seriously, but it's not like they can close borders to other states. Rates are going to skyrocket

Your comment is based solely on the notion that China is telling the world the truth. Based on their population, living conditions, how quickly this virus can spread and how long China tried to hide the problem, some are speculating they have/had 100+ million cases.obsidian wrote:Doombrain might be right though, the U.S. is doing really poorly at reducing the rate of infection and it is only growing exponentially faster. China could at least (for better or worse) implement a very tight quarantine and saw infection numbers drop. It’s just starting for the U.S. It doesn’t matter about the count of infections, it’s all about the rate of growth and how people in the U.S. are still ignoring calls to self isolate.
going on about who's got it worse is missing the real issue with China, which is that it's place where it started and the reasons why it started, which are a) the pseudoscience of "traditional medicine" (eating pangolin meat which turned out to be infected); b) the lax hygiene standards of wet markets (weak governance); and c) attempts to conceal the problem by a totalitarian state worried about its self-image (compounded by the pathetic attempts to blame the current situation on other nations, in particular the US)Eraser wrote:Besides, pointing at China is a huge what-about-ism. The US is fucking up, majorly, thanks to the complete and utter incompetence of your country's leadership. Pointing out that China's got it worse is really just throwing a red herring.

I actually went for an hour long solo ride today. Which was the second time I left the house this week. But I'm anxious to how this is dangerous to my or anyone else's health.Doombrain wrote:Gramps is still riding that horrible bike for none essential reasons too, I just know it.
No it hasn't and no it won't you blockhead retard, your shithole country can barely round up enough testing kits for one measly little town :olo:YourGrandpa wrote:BTW America has tested more of it's residents than any other country and will continue to test upwards of 100k people a day. You might want to consider that.

I guess you could argue both sides of the necessity of testing depending on your opinion, political affiliation or your emotional feelings towards an administration. Generally more testing is a good thing. But some people will always find fault.obsidian wrote:Test kits will only give you a positive or negative and give statistics to know where it's spreading. It does nothing to actually stop transmission. It doesn't matter how much testing the U.S. is doing, what it needs to do is quarantine.
Yes they are.Doombrain wrote::olo: no you’re notYourGrandpa wrote:BTW America has tested more of it's residents than any other country and will continue to test upwards of 100k people a day. You might want to consider that.
:olo: testing positive
BTW going anywhere increases the risk of catching or transmitting a virus. It’s not hard to understand. Stay safe plz.
You’re anxious to how this is dangerous? The fuck does that even mean?YourGrandpa wrote:I actually went for an hour long solo ride today. Which was the second time I left the house this week.
