The last movie you saw
Re: The last movie you saw
It was ok. But Hollywood is so full of themselves. The story of divorce could have been about anyone in any part of the country. But no. It was about an actress and stage director, set in New York and LA. So relatable...
Re: The last movie you saw
I see.
I watched it as a european where stage and movies are heavily subsidized by the country they film or perform in.
So that aspect got lost on the way.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood - 7/10
I quite enjoyed it, as I tend to do with most Tarantino films. Excellent soundtrack and quite a fun film. Pitt and DiCaprio gave excellent performances.

Re: The last movie you saw
...
From what I remember of Part 3, it was pretty damn bad, mostly because of Sofia Coppola's god-awful performance.
Wynona Ryder was originally meant to play the part, but withdrew to do Edward Scissorhands instead. And the other actress Francis Ford Coppola had lined up for the part, Rebecca Schaeffer, was murdered.
So, in nepotistic desperation, he gave the part to his daughter, who was a terrible actress.
Apparently she's not a bad director, but not having seen anything she's done, I can't comment.

She is a decent director. Lost in Translation is a guilty pleasure of mine... :paranoid:
Re: The last movie you saw
Lost in Translation was pretty good, although I guess there are people who would be willing to argue that's more due to Bill Murray than Sofia Coppola
Re: The last movie you saw
Plus Scarlett in her prime...

Colette
6.5/10 - Biography about the famous French writer. Quite enjoyable but nothing to go mad about.

Intrigued by the disturbing comment so went looking :paranoid:
Ah Mr.Rogers, also know as A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

I'll give that Once Upon a Time in Hollywood a look in.

Finally got to see Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
As expected I guess. A fitting end to the trilogy)?) that started back in 1977 with Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope. I was interested to view the original trailer

The Bridge at Remagen (1969)
It is an oldie for sure but I caught mention of this the other day and had to find
& watch this classic IMO. Find and watch it
Interestingly I found remnants of the bridge on Google Maps.

IMDBAs the Allied armies close in, the Germans decide to blow up the last Rhine bridge, trapping their own men on the wrong side. But will it happen?
Interestingly I found remnants of the bridge on Google Maps.

Kevin James is a funny bastard. Never really liked his sitcoms, but his personal comedy is pretty solid...
Re: The last movie you saw
Oh I loved The King of Queens. Arthur, the father (in law) played by Jerry Stilller was especially great.
You should check out his YouTube channel. It's pretty good.

Seinfeld 23 hrs to kill.
After 20 or so years he has a new standup special.
30% rehashed jokes, 50% wife-bad humour. The last 20% was aight.
Srs why bother if you're just going to phone it in.
