Ladder 49
6.5/10

Good movie but just doesn't quite cut it. Good acting, tense moments, emotional moments, action moments, dull moments, this movie has it all.

Also watched Briget Jones: edge of reason with my girlfriend. 5/10. Has a few funny bits but in general, it's just an uncohesive pile of loose bits thrown on top of each other with no real plot, no red thread through the story or anything.

Red Dragon: 7/10
Good movie. A lot better than Hannibal which was just crap. Been too long since I have seen Silence of the Lambs, so I can't say if it's better or not.

Ondskan: 8.5/10
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0338309/
A swedish movie based on the novel by Jan Guillou which is based on a true story. A very good movie.

i'm surprised you rated it that high. 4/10 for me. Phoenix saved it from a 2. surprisingly predictable and Travolta was absolutely horrible.

I totally wanna see this movie for the sheer cuteness value (and I love animals), but what is the plot? Migration story...?

the whole movie is essentially about all the shit penguins go through to have little baby penguins. it was pretty interesting to see. one of the best things about this movie is that the penguins act so humanlike at times that you can insert some hillarious dubs.

Space Cowboys: 6/10. More than a little implausible, but I enjoyed it more than I thought I would (i.e., I'm old).

40 yo Virgin

4 out of 5 stars

Funny, yet very, very, vulgar. My kind of flick :)

Hellraiser VI - Hellseeker

Not as gory as parts 1-4...decent story but not enough destruction.

5/10

Hellraider VII - Deader

Obviously not as good as I, II, III or IV.
Much better than V & VI.
But still, it's Hellraiser. Not too bad, not too good either.
5/10

(P.S I give parts V & VI 2/10)

Alfie - 7/10

nice movie, very relaxing, thus the depressing end comes a bit unexpected and is a little annoying. I still liked it though.

It was like 'Blow' only with sex and emotions instead of cocaine.

Looking forward to

- Land of the Dead
- Transporter 2: The Mission
- 11:14

Not looking forward to:

- Bewitched

Seriously. This has got to be the most advertised movie ever. I don't need to see the trailer 3 times every day. I'm not going to see it. I hate Will Farrell in the trailer, I think Nicole Kidman is an old hag, I didn't even like the original show. Stop advertising this movie!!! Please. Just stop. Please.

tarkovsky? great movie indeed.

Spent Friday in the cinema:

The Cave - Alright, an improvement over that other one that was out a few months ago, with an identical plot only all women.. so good I forgot its name.

The Island - very good action gubbins. The world needs more Steve Buscemi

Wedding Crashers - A damned sight better than I was anticipating. Wishing I'd seen it earlier and on a larger screen.

I Remember while my mother was ironing clothes I was watching Tony Curtis and another star I don't recall his name and a girl in it was 36 24 36.
A circus thing were tony Curtis broke his wrists and recovered after...
and Furry the horse.
Don't forget I am a 48 YO.
I also recall the firsts of all of Walt Disney in black and white.
Most of you in here never seen a black and white tv.
