Short Term 12

The plot is sometimes lacking a clear direction, but the apt pacing, charming characters, and fly on the wall cinematography make this a very enjoyable experience.

Headhunters 8/10

Norwegian crime-thriller starring Jaime Lannister and a Norwegian Steve Buscemi. Very well done.

Close Encounters is an 8/10 at best. It's a classic, but not a 10 IMO. Mmm... mashed potatoes.

Unforgiven (Japanese remake): 8.5/10

Stays true to the original story with a Samurai twist that doesn't feel out of place. The original is one of my favourite Westerns with how it portrays a world without true heroes or villains, just shades of grey.

A Clockwork Orange: 9/10

Hadn't seen it until now but I've read the book. Depressing as shit really.

1977

I checked out a few articles as I thought there was shaving cream there somewhere in the sculpting process and there was, but, just to say I was surprised at how old (flame me if you care) the movie was.

I went looking for a little history if you like and found this of some interest.

what prevents it from being a 10/10 in your humble opinion?

Just saw X-men: Days of Future past. It was good, really really good. The production values were way higher than First Class, and the story is good and makes you invested. The terminator-like sentinels in the future are a highlight near the end.

9/10 easy

Also, next X-men movie is about Apocalypse. Sweet.

Just curious how the production value was low in First Class...

The new x-men movie 8/10

Really, really good. Probably the best xmen movie so far. They did an awesome job of tying in all the other characters from the previous films...

Michael Fassbender is so hot.
Thick, solid and tight in all the right places.
