Brightburn
That was pretty good.
I despise all those superhero-movies of the last decade except for Watchmen.
Brightburn takes it a step further asking "what if Superman grew up to be a sociopath?"
It has some graphic violence in some scenes which makes it kind of a horror movie. You've been warned :).

7/10

The Florida Project
Usually I like movies of this kind, slow dramas. This one was kind of meh to me. Dafoe plays as good as he always does and the female lead is fantastic in her role.
Stil, it didn't quite ring with me. Florida must be a depressing state to live in.

6.5/10

Climax
Gaspar Noe's latest entry.
WTF???
As a movie this is brilliance. As a story... I don't think so. Could this really happen?
It is terrifying to say the least.

7/10

Await Further Instructions
Pile of crap. It doesn't even try to be something.

4/10

Trench 11
Why is it that no movie really is able to blend WW I/II with Lovecraftian themes? I yet have to see one.

3/10

Looking at the plot, it's just supposed to be a bunch of people going insane on LSD and killing each other? The plot reads like a propaganda film from the 60s or 70s about how drugs will turn you into an insane psychotic animal.

Salvation, Genisys, and Dark Fate have combined to make T3 look like a masterpiece.

Similarly to what Disney's Star Wars has done for the prequels.

And Disney owns Paramount, which includes Terminator. Sensing a shit-smeared pattern here...

I do think people are interested in the opinion of others especially on the movies about today. Like above, my expectation just may have dropped a little. I guess we wait and see my thoughts on Terminator Dark Fate...

Terminator: Dark Fate (2019)

Just returned from the picture theatre having watched and I haven't read any reviews or spoilers to date.

Look, to be honest I didn't mind the story line at all. I guess I expected has to how it was to unfold. Nice to see Arnie and Sarah again of course if aged a few years.

Me, well I am still trying to work out how John Connor dies :(
I figure it must be in Terminator Genisys and I have the DVD so plan to watch it soon

If you are into sci-fi, yes, give it a go.
8/10

I thought he was killed like in the first 5 minutes of the movie by some other T-800? I didn't watch it, but that's what I read

None of the movies past T2 have any real relationship to each other. None make sense, either.

Genuine question, because it shits all over the T1 and T2 story and makes everything they did a waste of time.

What We Did on Our Holiday (2014)

Watched for the second time but it is worth it. Great entertaining movie starring Billy Connolly, Rosamund Pike, David Tennant and others.

A family of 5 is off to granddad's big 75th birthday party at uncle's estate in rural Scotland. The parents fight and are separated and hope their 3 kids won't mention it. The kids love, can talk with and will do anything for granddad.

If you haven't, yes give it a go :D

Woah. First time Donny?

Me, I watched Kong: Skull Island which was enjoyable enough, but very much by the numbers with no surprises.
Watch it if you're bored.

I’m jealous you get to watch these films for the first time. But I guess there’s still a shit ton I haven’t seen too.

I wonder if in the future they’ll be able to wipe certain memories so you can experience things for the first time again. Movie theaters could have a booth set up in the lobby to men-on-black you as you walk in...

Thinking... It was powerful.

Did some Googling...

It was released on video on demand.

Green Book

Very good movie. Leaves you on a positive ecstatic feeling. At least that was my own experience.
But I'm torn with this movie.
Is it OK to make a feel-good-movie about racism?
So I am torn between a 7 or 8. Technically it is that good. The actors are fantastic. The story is great. But is it really the whole story?
7.5/10

Disaster Artist

I don't know "The Room". This movie doesn't really make me want to see it. A lot of movies have been called "worst movie ever made". It couldn't really grab me.
6/10

Hmmm... Watched only snippets and it really looks a 10/10. Just the era I figure. Top acting.. Looking forward to watching completely. Jodie and Harvey Keitel are sooo good.

Rambo: Last Blood (2019)

Yes, as you & ! suspected, there were no surprises to be found here. I found the quantity of Mexican language content annoying and would have preferred they spoke English like in America. There was Mexican dialogue in many places, so much so, I thought the movie needed subtitles and that is rare for me. Thinking, yes it was annoying.

Predictable/ Annoying... 5/10

I didn't see that trailer but there's none of that shit in the film, the sound design is excellent.

I'd go as far to say it's a better film than Dunkirk :!:
