Hi there, I was wondering if anyone through the years has found out how to convert the .map files of COD1 or COD United Offensive to the Quake3 format .map?
There have been some .map's released in the COD community and I'd like to see how they perform in Q3 engine and build a map around it perhaps.

Or any other methods like perhaps COD maps to CSS and then from CSS to Q3 as I know this last part is possible.

Not sure, but I don't think this is generally a good idea. COD and Q3 has very different gameplay and physics. The result of which means that COD maps will feel extremely cramped when applied to Q3, not to mention all the mechanical issues of players bonking heads on ceilings/door frames.

Then there are legal issues, if you're importing game assets as well. So you'll have to at least do a complete re-texture of everything.

You're probably better off doing a loosely based remake from scratch.

Well it's not really for Quake3, but a Q3 based engine game so the easiest way for us it to have it in a q3 .map as it can be used for us.

The main reason was these forests in CODUO are great , and I wanted to try something similar in this engine.
