Q3A stoped working after install sp2 online and offline can anyone help me with this? please

update video card and motherboard drivers.
re-install quake3

Control Panel> Windows Firewall> Exeptions tab
be sure that quake3 is on the list and checked, if not add it. I would also make sure that the box at the bottom about a notification is checked

well I would not think so, I do believe quake 3 does try to connect every startup, a PB check I believe but am not sure, but you could still play it

no error messages should work offline but hangs on start up

Try renaming the PB directory and see if it solves the problem.
