Yea, it seems to have died. It's currently showing up as if it's been taken over by a squatter of some type.

I think Don Carlos is building it up again in the Quake III Movies & Demos section. We can update this one as and when they get something up.

Apart from this, I've deleted all the dead links and updated the others. Thanks again for your help :icon25: :icon14:

Well that and then this program. It's a very small mp3 player which can play files without installing. My uncle recommended it to me after i asked about a simple player do play music at the school(nazi)comps. Links though are bound to go down and the official site seems to be russian. Maybe someone can save it?

STP MP3 Player (209 kb) Freeware, no install required starts in taskbar. supposed to work from floppy or usb drive, I'll get back on that.

I saved a copy of the old movies & demos thread. If you want I could upload it and provide a link.

edit: Well here it is at any rate. Hope it's useful in some way. :)

JV16Powertoolz link: http://www.jv16.org

and in case u need to reinstall and want to slipstream use this:

http://www.autopatcher.com/autostreamer.html

the download link doesn't work and is not for the latest version but this is:

http://mhtools.knoware.nl/raptor/autost ... reamer.exe

it outputs to .iso so simply burn image w/nero.

Some of the sites I've been using since loading up windows 2k pro:

http://www.speedguide.net/read_articles.php?id=1404 (win2k tweaks)
http://www.speedguide.net/read_articles.php?id=157 (connection tweaks)
http://www.speedguide.net/ports.php (vulnerable ports)
http://www.speedguide.net/ports_common.php (Commonly Open Ports)
http://www.pcworld.com/howto/article/0, ... 111,00.asp (random tweaks)
http://arstechnica.com/guides/tweaks/memory-1.ars?56125 (more random tweaks)

edit: Some are for 2k & Xp, but for the most part those are all windows 2000 tweaks.

Everything's becoming 1-900-ized these days, gOsh.
http://officelive.microsoft.com/
check out the web development tool while it's beta (product key or sign-up with .net account) free, for now.
http://safety.live.com/
http://local.live.com/ (like google earth? check this out-no install and the bird's-eye view will dry-hump your mind.)
http://ideas.live.com/
the rest of the enchelada, mostly beta but some are pretty slick, like safety and onecare live antispyware/antivirus removal tools.

http://www.truecrypt.org/

Free and very fast encryption program. Easier to use than PGPs tools and it's capable of creating an encrypted space in a file, partition, or entire disk. Includes hidden volume support which means you can make genuinely untraceable containers, as well as keyfile support meaning you can use any set of files you wish to act as part of your password (you have to feed it the files to get into the container. The files can be anything including existing documents or mp3s or whatever... and it won't alter them).

Fucking brilliant piece of software.

Good oh :D

--
While I'm on a roll:

zFTPServer Suite
http://zftpserver.serveftp.com/
I tried out every FTP Server I could find and this one came out tops in terms of speed and ease of use. The virtual file structure feature is perfect for creating a manageable FTP system and the user management/grouping system is sweet as fuck.

__EDIT: Foo .. you had a duplicate post so i deleted one and the other disapeared too .. luckily i had copied the contents ... so i pasted it here .. my bad

Nice freeware to help you find more info about those annoying unknown device entries in device manager (as to help you find a driver for them).
