Peenyuh Madman Philosophy Joined: 02 Jan 2008 Posts: 3782	Posted: 08-18-2011 09:25 AM                  I have a Compaq, that is crap and I'd like to put the hard drive into another computer that I just put together... which is NOT crap. The problem is that the OS refuses to allow the new computer to run it. How do I convince the OS that it is okay to run on this new computer? _________________ "How do you keep the natives off the booze long enough to pass the test?" DukeNukem#3 Grunt Joined: 30 Aug 2011 Posts: 62	Posted: 09-05-2011 05:40 PM                  if it doesn't let you do it, call Microsoft support. it puts you through an automated system that asks you how many computers the OS in installed on. Say one (your new machine), and the system will give you a keycode to input into some directory somewhere. and Windows should activate just fine.
