Hi. I'd like to add a function to RTCW that displays subtitles (shall be defined alongside with cutscenes and/or triggered by events in maps). Those subtitles should be translatable. My biggest issue with RTCW is that there is no official translation for Czech gamers, and there are some players that do not know English that well and would appreciate if it would be translated to Czech. If not the sound files (which are actually translated to worldwide languages, including German, Russian, etc.), it should at least have subtitles that would be able to turn on/off and would be able to translate. Is that possible? Does the game have support for program mods?

It would be very much better for one person to translate text rather than find some voice actors to dub the actual sound files for the game. The thing is that the UI texts can be translated (they are extracted from text files inside the pak files). However the game lacks any subtitles and the sound files would need to be translated as well in order to fully translate the game. That actually requires one to find voice actors so the game doesn't sound like one guy (that was actually very much common with old US movies in Czechoslovakia before 1989 - one guy overdubbed the whole movie, it doesn't sound good at all - mostly porn was overdubbed like that). If the game had subtitles, one guy could simply translate the subtitles instead, no need to find voice actors...

Good intentions I'm sure, but:

Dont you think it would be a lot of work to mod this to be translatable to czech 30 years after it's release?
