I can't remember if it was this forum or another but someone else was quoted playing it on a 2.2 P4 and a 6800 and said they were getting a playable 40fps
whoah... those MP maps look like sex in a can! can't wait to get my hands on this game ( and an internet connection at home i just moved this weekend... )
How about the copy protection? Is it really some starforce proggy you have to install? And do the physics really feel 1:1 with Quake 3, like Tim Willits said (mathematically the same). 60 FPS max, that sux though.
No it doesn't.
Everybody thinks high FPS are a necessity. They aren't. 125 fps was only important in Q3 because of the physcis. You won't notice it in Quake 4. Also, it's only it's internal speed. Your videocard will still render maybe 120fps (if it's technically capable of that) but it'll be rendering the exact same scene twice
Its weird thats there are no bots as they obviously had to create some kind of AI for singleplayer (same with Doom3); I don't know how all that works but couldn't they have just have added it to the multiplayer?
It doesn't matter though. Looking at those screenshots, I know Quake 4 will rule.
Where were you when the West was defeated?

We're not talking some shit box film or something you downloaded off the internet, we're talking ID's much loved and anticipated sequel, QUAKE 4.
