Hung out on the server as a spectator for about an hour, and ended getting a few matches in with some randos that joined. Was a good time.

Duff and Raw have Quake 3 servers running and we've been getting some good games most days early evening, US times.

They are:

  • play.ur-face.com - US South Central - 1.32 Q3Plus Unlagged
  • q3w.monroec.com - US West - 1.32 OSP
  • q3.monroec.com - US East - 1.32 Q3Plus Unlagged

Unlagged is a real game changer - We have players from Australia to Europe and works pretty great.

Connecting to unlagged servers
You can just connect with a vanilla Quake 3 1.32 installation but you unlagged stuff will only kinda half work and feel very janky. For the best experience:
    1. Install the Q3Plus mod from here
    2. Run q3plus64.exe instead of the usual quake exe
    3. Connect to one of the unlagged servers above

When you get into a game, run the following two commands at the console:
\exec q3plus
\cg_unlagged "15"
