For those of you that are playing the beta, will my dinosaur rig run it?
AMD XP2500+, 2Gb PC2700, 6800GT. I looked for a similar thread, so sorry if I'm being repetitive.
Yes, I know I need to upgrade, but student loan payments are preventing that atm...

I'm running it on xp +2200. 1 gb (512 mb at 2700 and 512 mb at 3300 so both default to 2700), 7600 gs. And well, it runs. It isn't the prettiest but it runs damn near perfect.

lies. im running on an Intel 3ghz HT, gig-o-ram and a 6600GT. runs as silk with above average settings.
its usually the res that kills it. i dont want to play an 1600x1200 anyways cause then the hud gets too small :owned:

Meekaju is right, I'm running it on a GeForce 6600GT with medium settings on 1280x1024 and fps stays high at all times. I think they did a great job with the netcode in this game.

P4 3.0GHz, 2GB RAM, 6800 Ultra, high settings at 1920x1200 and stable FPS.

Netcode is amazing. Beta 1 patch kind of sucked, but whatever caused it, it's fixed now.

Aye, it's amazing picking off soldiers from great distances with the assault weapons. Every shot fucking hits

I'm getting pretty sloppy fps on my system. Have to run it on lowlow and I don't even get 60 then. Which is weird tbh. I've only played offline, since I don't have a key and had the serv on the same comp as I played from. Does this affect fps much?

I hate to agree with the queer anime fanboi here, but I recall having horribly shitty frame rates with HL2 until I added the second Gb of RAM. Made all the difference. :icon14:

Hmm, I guess. I do have a chip of 512mb somewhere around here. I remember someone told me that it's better to use ram in pairs rather then adding 1 extra. Dunno :X

RAM's pretty cheap atm, innit? Snag another 1Gb stick if your mobo can support it. Can't see why it wouldn't, not running that proc.

You won't have dual channel, that's for sure. Your CPU and Video card are A OK though

Then I need new ram and gpu aswell. I would have to buy a PCI-E card since my current one is AGP. I've pretty much stopped playing pc after I started in college last week anyway. Too much partyies :D

I have an AMD Athlon 2800+, 1GB RAM and a Radeon 9800 Pro and it runs decently in a bot match with all settings on medium. I have to figure out how big an impact the bots are on performance, but I'd venture saying that I could turn graphics up another notch even when playing online.

While I do have a new PC, I'm amazed at how smooth both offline (15 bots) and online (netcode) gameplay is.

I don't do justice to my system because I only run at 1024*768 but old habits don't change soon. Settings are almost all at "high" (I left the default settings intact for now), but from the above I think this game is pretty scalable for most PC's.

How would it go on this you think:

AMD64 3500+ (2.2ghz)
6800GT OC (256mb)
1 gig of ram?

Should run fine. That's almost exactly like my Linux box except it has a 7600GT. More RAM always helps.

I had almost that same setup and it ran decent
Had:
AMD64 3400+
GF 6600
1.5 gigs

Bought an 8600GTS last weekend
