Quake3World

Godamn it's good. I've never been a big fan of extraction shooters but I guess it's because extraction shooters haven't been done right until now. Smooth gameplay, fun with friends and I haven't been on edge in a game, in the best way possible, like in this game.

Doombrain is playing the shit out of this; loves it

I'm absolutely loving it. The detail that the dev's put into the physics of the Arc is just amazing. You can shoot Arc in specific locations that impair their movements and while I wouldn't say it's realistic it's very believable and well designed for a game. Like shooting drone props clearly affects the drones as you'd expect in terms of flying ability and the bots AI are fantastic at dodging you and getting shots on you if you're trying to hide. Makes for super memorable moments in the game.

Been playing it a lot too. I'm completely casual about it though. Tend to avoid PvP as much as possible and mostly get a kick out of friendly and humorous interactions with other players.

You should take a look at the 3 part making of/behind the scenes series on YouTube, made by Danny O'Dwyer from noclip. There's a lot of info on the machine learning behind the enemies' movement in part 3. Very interesting to see.
