I saw Dark Water this weekend, and I really liked the movie. It is not a true shock-and-scare horror movie, but more a drama with some horror (suspense) elements tucked into it. It all was very nicely balanced, with just enough suspense and tension to give me a continuous feeling of dread but not enough to overshadow the underlying story. For me, an 8 out of 10.
I recently made the blunder of exposing myself to the humongous pile of shit that is elsewhere known as Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith.
I must say that Hayden Christensen may very well be the worst actor on this side of The Big Bang, furthermore it seems that he inspired the rest of the cast to all pull together and be almost as mindboggingly lousy as himself.
I wish I could tell you more about it, but I fear I lack the words to properly describe the mental anguish it caused. Suffice to say I would rather watch my parents having sex than to ever experience this particular movie again.
All in all I think that on a scale of one to ten I'm gonna give this sucker a negativ score of one googolplex.
lol, I just watched Episode III too, and I have to agree that Hayden Christensen does suck fucking donkey cock.
I just wish that George Lucas would have stayed the fuck away from the scriptwriting and the directing of episode 1-3. Sure, he could have written the story, and perhaps produced it, but why the fuck didn't he hire a decent script writer and a good director instead of completely fucking the entire franchise right in the ass by directing it himself?
There are a few nuggets in there that does feel like the "old" star wars I know and love, and I see that the intentions are there for it to be a great story, but the execution totally ruins the entire experience. It's a pity all that potential is ruined by Lucas taking on a job he can't handle.
Started to watch episode III, had to stop after about 40 minutes or so as I couldn't stand listening to and watching Anakin and the queen. The special effects aren't enough to get me past how horribly bad the acting and dialogue is. ALso, the special effects are just overdone...everything is sooo computer rendered it ends up looking too unnatural. It's like lucas said, 'let's figure out how to make every single device, ship, control panel, whatever, in the star wars universe as impractical and silly looking as possible'.
Episodes I-III were just shit. plain and simple.
and a few minutes of kickass yoda fighting doesn't make it all worth it, IMHO.
