Adaptation: 8/10. First-rate, 'cept the ending had some contrived bits that fell a little flat.

I like War of the Worlds a lot, too. I'd agree, maybe I'd give it 7/10.

Big Fish is the only movie I ever liked from Burton, otherwise I agree.
Sleepy Hollow was awesome

Palindromes: 8/10

A sort of Sequal to " Welcome To the DollHouse" Rather creepy story for the most part. Director uses an interesting technique of using many different actresses for the main character.

Doom - 4/10

Its only saving grace was popping in a random thing from the game every so often. Unfortunatly, that didn't include the plot, or anything revolving around it. It went from sucking, to what the fuck, to heh, to sucking, to "that first person bit really should of just been the entire movie", to "what in the fuck kind of ending is that?".

Its ok for a night out, but damn, like I said, it has fuck all to do with the game really. May as well of stayed in and watched Wing Commander, it was on BBC1 :p

Anyways, yeah, the first person bit rocked, loved it, and the chainsaw bit with the pinky was fantastic. As soon as the Rock went all evil it kinda fucked it up TBH...

Sahara - 6/10

Light Sunday afternoon entertainment. The plot is pretty contrieved and the effects are rather meh, but it was ok.

I don't know why people in reviews keep comparing it to Indiana Jones, it doesn't even begin to approach playing in the same division.

For the 5th times The green line with Tom Hanks. He’s one of my greatest actor. I also saw Alone on a desert island, what a great movie when you think that for the biggest part of it he was the only one in the casting with Wilson of course and he lost like 50 pounds in the making.

Shawshank Redemption 10/10

Bought it today, my last copy was taken by the ex.
must have seen it 100 times already; it just seems to get better everytime I see it.

That’s also is a great movie with Tim Robbins an accountant whom supposedly killed his wife and in the end he after 20 some years of work with a tiny hammer brake the wall and invade from the prison with the chief shining shoes

Saw Narnia last night. Pleasantly surprised. In some ways the battle scene was better then LOTR's. 8/10

yeah great work spoiling the entire movie for everyone here (apart from the fact that your synopsis hardly makes any sense)

Interesting. I had no desire to see it because it looks like a generic Hollywood 'made for money' movie. I might check it out now.

My only bitch about the movie, and many other movies lately for that matter, is that it's too fucking long.
I might be in a minority here but I fucking HATE long movies. If you're going over 2 hours you're going too long.

Having said that, check out Narnia. If you can get over the fact that you're watching a bunch of kids it's really quite good. I thought the talking animals were going to look retaded as well but they were very well done. Not cheesy at all.
