The last movie you saw
No ratings because they don't mean anything except to the person who rated them:
The Believer - thought provoking look at the relationship between Judaism and Nazism
City of God - brilliant
House of Sand and Fog - too realistic, especially if you know people from Iran who emigrated.
Suspect Zero - Another great Ben Kingsley film... geoff would probably dig it

you think a number out of 10 means anything compared to words describing why the film was interesting?+JuggerNaut+ wrote:then you may as well leave out your comments as well.Dave wrote:No ratings because they don't mean anything except to the person who rated them:

look at numbers this way. You don't give anything a 10 unless it causes you an orgasm. I don't give anything a 10 unless I consider it one of my favorite films. I don't give anything else, so i'd either give something a 10 or a 0. I'm extremely stingy with 10s+JuggerNaut+ wrote:both would be nice.Dave wrote:you think a number out of 10 means anything compared to words describing why the film was interesting?+JuggerNaut+ wrote: then you may as well leave out your comments as well.

p.s. i've never seen a perfect movie, so no tens from me yet.
I've yet to see one either. I can usually find something to fault it, although I may be a bit generous with the higher scores.+JuggerNaut+ wrote:i noticed. :ODave wrote:look at numbers this way.
