Plan B wrote:Not expecting too much from the Holland-Cameroon match. Holland is through, and Cameroon is out whatever the outcome.

More interested in Denmark-Japan in the same pool.
Unless I'm mistaken, if Holland loses, that game could still determine whether they play against Slovenia or Paraguay in the 1/8s.
And then I'd prefer Slovenia.
Slovakia, not Slovenia :)
I know, it's confusing with all the -ia's around.

They're through, but didn't really look impressive. Villa's goal was a bit lucky, but still a good effort making it from that distance. Iniesta's goal and its leadup was the only flash of brilliance I saw. Aside from that, they were pretty average, losing most challenges and some very ordinary passing. Chile was unlucky to get the red card. Meh.

Without fail we have our head up our asses for the first 20 min or so in every match...shit caught up with us.

WWII tomorrow, so I'll root for England.

Yes, exactly. Don't forget the "mulleted fags in silky shorts" bit, either.

They played the same game they've been playing. I still watched with hope, but I don't think they were robbed or anything.

Good show.

Gary Lineker:
"Football is a simple game; 22 men chase a ball for 90 minutes, and at the end the Germans always win."

End of discussion.

My prognosis: GER 6 : ENG 5 after penalties. :D

2-0
ok then, prediction time. i'm going to go with 3-2 to the krauts AET, and at least one of those 5 goals will be a penalty (probably england). scorers will be klose (2), schweinsteiger, gerrard and defoe. klose will get the ET goal that sinks england

anyone else sufficiently non-slackjawed & faggoty to make a prediction about scoreline/goalscorers?
