the 2005 version of Amityville Horror (5/10)
surprisingly good acting, great makeup, and very nice creepy horror movie . 900x better than the 70's version.
however the only similarity to the book is the character names and the house.

Really a brilliant, brilliant movie . This is the new Scorcese(sp) flick. It even got a 92% on Rottentomatoes, which is pretty good IMO for an actiony movie .
The movie is smart, well-acted, good script and very interesting.
i like to quote myself.

monsoon wedding - A+
Mr. and Mrs. Smith - started out decent, and quickly degenerated into a pile of hedgehog vomit. Even as a metaphor the film sucked.
