Cool
Guess you can go pretty wild and throw all kinds of stuff in there, like random herbs and shit.

Might experiment with this sometime, i like booze and there's nothing wrong with making your own

On topic: still working on our new house, which has now become sort of a second job on the side. Received the keys last week and tomorrow the first of the small army of contractors start their work, so there's lots to be managed... The fun factor has gone up significantly lately thank the gods, it's all become less vague and more concrete (hah!) now. No more looking at blueprints and deciding on those but actually seeing stuff and going 'yes, let's make the kitchen go that way'. Much better.

On the downside, both me and the missus have slowly turned into people who cannot talk about anything else anymore. Kind of what some people who just had a baby can be like.... it's fucking annoying i bet.

Nieuwbouw ouwe!

It's pretty much a concrete cave presently. Nearly two years have gone by since we bought the place... hope to move in halfway december, but that's only when all goes according to plan. Also, we're not making this any easier by wanting a lot of stuff to be visually pleasing on a shoestring budget. Seems like it's coming together finally though :D

Jelly...

I want to book mine, but I know if I see it within the first few days of release, I'll have to wait in line at the theater for hours just to get a decent seat...

Just in time for Christmas then.
Let us know when the Q3W housewarming party will be held. Don Carlos will adjust his travel plans accordingly.

I play poker ever Friday against friends, and got invited to play in a big tournament on Saturday. Finished 3rd which is honestly a damn shame cause I had an excellent shot at 1st and blew it by being impatient but 3rd overall out of 80 players isn't too shabby and I walked out with 500$.

Have a long weekend this week so I'm flying to Hong Kong to have a couple cheeky nights out with the lads. It's been over a year since I left so I'm interested to see how things feel different now that I don't work there anymore.

My second Samsung monitor has gone faulty :smirk: and suffers the same problem as the other and at about this time last year, a single vertical green line always on.

Anyway I called Samsung and organised the repairs, jumped in the car and drove down to the local repairer (close luckily) to find it closed for the day!

The power company has turned the whole street off to do some works. They'd advised the businesses so most, if not all closed for the day. I did wonder why they weren't answering my telephone calls earlier :smirk:

It was strange to see a usually busy light industrial area devoid of traffic.

Whiskey, you have more issues with consumer products than anybody I've ever known.

I expect to get what I pay for and that goes for product and service. It is not about the money.

Here's a classic for you.
To The General Manager xxxxxxx Club

Letter of Complaint - MEMBERSHIP OFFER disallowed

Mr xxxxxxx

Sir I am puzzled at what appears to be deceitful management practices.

In good faith, I attended the club this on Saturday morning to extend our (3 year) memberships after reading the offer in the recent and current (October) 'Club Talk' magazine.

I was advised by staff at the door that I had to renew my membership and that I could not use the offer. I was dumbfounded and this only confirmed when staff added Management were getting numerous complaints on this matter.

Sir/Madam, it clearly states ‘UPGRADE YOUR 3 YEAR MEMBERSHIP TO 5 YEARS FOR ONLY $5’.

Kindly see the attached scan on our membership cards with the offer above and confirm our cards show we have a 3 year membership. We do not have a 1, 5 or any other number of years membership; we have a 3 year membership.

You agree, it clearly says Social 3 Years or do our eyes deceive us? So explain why your stated offer to extend our 3 year to 5 years membership is disallowed.

You cannot simply dismiss and say this is a typographical error as I have just received the November 'Club Talk' magazine and I see the same fraudulent offer there, ‘UPGRADE YOUR 3 YEAR MEMBERSHIP TO 5 YEARS FOR ONLY $5’.

You can rectify this injustice.

Regards
Today they telephoned, I won and got the advertised offer.
Justice done :D :D

Was great banter.

Nice to be there as a tourist instead of a protester. Didn't go to kowloon at all and just stayed in the Island, a very different experience and I can see why people who live there don't realize what's going on in the poorer areas.
