Beat it, it's really really good, but could have been even better.tnf wrote:Pirates. It is great once you pick up on some of the smaller intracacies..like continually sending pirate raiders to a filthy French capital again and again to weaken its troop numbers, then go in and raid it yourself after that.
Readon #1: The cities all look the same. This takes away from the atmosphere imo, take a look at Freelancer and it's different planet designs. There were tons of stuff to discover in Freelancer. (Anyone found the planet of the apes? It's there.)
Reason #2: The game wasn't rewarding enough. Ok, you get your little fame points and the little "what happens next" story when you retire is nice but... something's missing.
Maybe you could have used gold to decorate your ship and captain's quarters, or build some farms on the land you get from the governers to generate a steady source of income or something else. Founding your own city would have been way cool as well. Dunno. I just didn't feel satisfied (which happens in a lot of games though).
Reason #3: This game would be perfect for multiplayer. Why is there no multiplayer?

Yea, I have to say that even since that post I am getting a bit tired of some of the things...multiplayer would have made it sooo much better.SplishSplash wrote:Beat it, it's really really good, but could have been even better.tnf wrote:Pirates. Re: So, what games are you playing now?
I'm still playing Fallout 4 from time to time. That's really about it. I thought about maybe firing up Skyrim again.
During daylight savings and Summer I really have very little time for gaming. Getting a lot of shit done outside. But in a couple months I'll need something to keep me occupied. The new Age of Empires trailer has me considering a strategy game...

Holy thread bump Batman
Mostly playing Overwatch when I have time, about halfway through Rise of the Tomb Raider but it gets pretty tedious after a bit. The list of new and untouched games in my Steam library is much longer

Yeah, I thought we had a more recent "Games you are playing thread", but couldn't find it.

Been playing this also. Nothing like looting for 15minutes then getting sniped in the back of the head through a window from 500m. It has its moments thoughYourGrandpa wrote:PUBG.

Re: So, what games are you playing now?
did you buy the early access pack?
You're the only one on my list that isn't lvl1. Everyone in general chat complaining about queues because there aren't any players.

Wow, I forgot how long ago I played City of Heroes. That was the last proper MMO I enjoyed playing...
These days I'm playing Overwatch.
