Overwatch
Re: Overwatch
I especially enjoy the shovel at the end of King's Row where the hole in the floor should be.

Re: Overwatch
Torb's turret scrapbook intro had me grinning too.
Also, D.Va must be into vintage photography.

Re: Overwatch
Anyone tried the new uprising game mode yet? I can tell you, it's glorious! Start off with normal difficulty though. Progress in any of the higher difficulties will depend a lot on whether or not your team consists of idiots (which usually, it does)
Re: Overwatch
Meanwhile, they broke the rest of the game.
The developer said that custom games, 3v3 elimination, 6v6 capture the flag, and leaderboards will all be disabled until further notice.

Re: Overwatch
Beat it on expert last night as Rein on the regular and all heroes modes.
Re: Overwatch
With a group of friends, I presume? Because, jeez, I haven't even been able to get past hard and I strongly feel I haven't been the problem there.
Re: Overwatch
I like all the banter during the brawl.

If anyone's up for a round of Uprising on PC, I'll be waiting

Re: Overwatch
I beat hard a few times now, it really depends on the team you're with however using Bastion is like pressing the easy button. I did about 6 runs with bastion, got play of the game every round and all the gold medals. Fun times. Haven't tried the next difficulty yet though.
Re: Overwatch
Oh, I mainly play the strict one with only Tracer, Reinhardt, Torbjorn and Mercy. Does the all heroes one unlock the achievements as well?
Re: Overwatch
Not sure but it's more fun to try different combos. I tried the Tracer/Rein/Torb/Mercy combo once and that was enough for me.
Re: Overwatch
Just won a hard game in all heroes and it doesn't unlock the achievements. There is an achievement for completing the mission with 8 different heroes in that mode though (as well as one for completing the regular mode with all four heroes)
Re: Overwatch
The amount of stupidity going on in this game mode is just unbearable. Torbjorns who forget to drop armors (or teammates who don't pick em up if I'm Torb), Mercy's who just fucking suck at healing, Reinhardt's who have no clue what they should be doing and Tracers running head on into enemy Bastions. Gawd

Re: Overwatch
Pro tip btw: don't kill the first OR14 unit. It prevents the other ones from spawning and gives you some breathing room to take out the sentry Bastions. Only kill the OR14 once the bastions are gone.
Re: Overwatch
Was deranking because of some awful teammates (even with friends and racking up golds). Managed to string together 6 wins in a row last night and get my SR back up a bit.
Re: Overwatch
Every game I've been in this weekend has at least one person exploiting the spawn bug while escorting the payload. Handy when you're trying to get the 80% payload health achievement on Hard, but otherwise makes things quite boring. I'm surprised Blizzard hasn't fixed it.

Re: Overwatch
It's getting frustrating. I haven't been able to beat Uprising on Hard yet. The reason for not making it is pretty much the same thing every time.
I used to pick Torbjorn at first, but found out that if I pick Mercy, I'm usually better able to carry a poor team a lot further into the mission by virtue of healing the shit out of my team members. The thing is, it usually fails because someone runs off in the distance. It's not even uncommon for someone (usually Tracer by blinking or Reinhardt by charging) to run ahead and actually start the third hack while the rest of the team is still mopping up the remaining enemies from the second hack. The result is that hack2 enemies are still around while hack3 enemies start getting spawned, and you can't deal with that, especially not because the team is split up.
The other main point of failure is inside the powerplant where someone dies in between the last two OR14's or behind them. It's nearly impossible to revive someone there unless you fly in as Mercy and use your ult. But then you can't reach your other two team mates to heal them and you're fucked. For some reason, people focus on the OR14's too much and forget about the Bastions. Those are much more dangerous.
It just happens every single time and it's enormously frustrating.

Would love toDon Carlos wrote:We will play next week

Got the hard-difficulty achievement during lunch break today though. Did a run with a colleague. Still had a completely retarded Reinhardt on our team which nearly screwed the whole thing up multiple times, but my colleague played a magnificent Mercy and managed to save our asses every time.
Funny thing was that my colleague was constantly freaking out about how he had never seen anyone play that shitty in any run he did, while for me teammates like that was just the order of the day. I'm not sure why our experiences differ so much
