I'm waiting for 3rd party boards.
The premium on the founders' editions is bullshit.

I'll wait for MSI's reference card because their coolers are the best, maybe get a G-sync monitor to go with it. My dual-770 handles everything on 1440p so I'm not getting on the bandwagon yet.

Same here. Waiting for a nice custom AIB card with 6+8 or 8+8 pin, 2-slot, and an open-air cooler.

A lot of those cards are 3 slots. Graphics cards are getting beefy...

No surprise. The Founders Editions are just dirty money grabs. I'm sure nVidia could create the fastest reference board ever, but they probably don't to keep an incentive for 3rd party manufacturers to create their own.

Everyone knows your video card is 10 years old, that's why you keep playing those shitty CoD games.

Need is pretty subjective when you can always turn graphics down to potato level. I have a 1440p ultra-wide and a 1440p 144hz monitor. I use every ounce of power to maintain acceptable framerates at a decent quality. Nothing has changed from a year ago other than there being a cheaper gfx card with the same amount of power. The same thing that has happened since the dawn of computing. Your argument is stupid.

Shaft has a Titan X, no point in upgrading to Pascal until the 1080ti is available sometime next spring. I'm gonna try and get the MSI Twin Frozr 1080 when it's available in Canada, should be a significant upgrade over 2x 4GB 770s.

Just bought this, the 1080 isn't worth it with the ridiculous price inflation in Canada.

What price inflation? It's $729.99 USD and $919.99 CAD. Right now $729.99 USD converts to $949.17 CAD.

Check out NCIX's prices, they have zero stock and are selling non-FE cards for over $1000. $919 is still way above the MSRP and not worth it, especially with Ti and Titan versions coming out in less than a year. Did you get your 1080s yet?

Yeah NCIX is abusing it, but Newegg is OK assuming you get it in stock. I think $729.99 USD or $919.99 CAD is fair for the GTX 1080 AMP! Extreme, it's a pretty nice custom board.

Haven't received my cards yet, Purolator is having issues right now due to Canada Post lockout.

BTW, Titan P is apparently going to be announced in mid-August 2016. Are you planning on getting one?
