Apparently Anarki is CPMA style movement and the base level for Champions is Vanilla Q3.

Loot box system like overwatch, looks like you can change gun skins ( quake RL/ quake 4 etc ) and skins for body parts.

Yeah, but she also fessed up to getting nauseous trying to play due to inverted look, so not exactly the best person to be commenting on anyone's Quake skills. Let alone which, by the names it looks like he was mostly fighting bots.

I think a lot of that is due to poor video editing.

This I was thinking too. But if it's just one map, eh, who cares, as long as they mainly stick to the tech/gothic style.

Pretty sure if they didn't change a thing people would complain as well. I guess this is the only way to get a new player base, I can't see many new gamers picking up pure old Quake

Yeah I guess. Hard crowd to please. What I liked about Quake 3 though is that you could see pretty much any map, whether it be by id Software or a custom community one, you could almost always tell it was a Quake 3 map.
With Unreal Tournament, there was more diversity in the way and style of maps, but that also made it less of a homogeneous whole.

Right now I'm just thinking that I hope they'll include a Freeze Tag mode :)

Hopefully they include a classic Quake mode as well. I'm sure they will, or at least I hope they open up all the tools and SDK for mods and maps - that's what made old games so successful.

Yeah, now they're basically Bethesda, I think we've seen the end of id as a driving force behind community modding and map making.
