There has been a lot of "holocaust denial" stuff being written which I think is totally unfair. He didn't say that or even elude to it. If you read what he said "Hitler didn't use gas on his own people", you could do a bit of naughty arguing as to if you think Hitler thought of the German Jews as his own people (which given what he wrote in Mein Kampf I doubt), but that is for another day.
I'm all for pointing out when someone has been an idiot but don't twist what was said to be something that far away from the truth.
He did acknowledge it during his backtracking, that he was aware of Zyklon B and it's use.
Reading between the lines what he said was kind of true, in that he didn't indiscriminately bomb districts of Germany with chemicals nor deploy it as a weapon - cos he remembers the damage it caused to his own forces in WW1. The retardation comes from the statement in itself by trying to make Hitler out to be a better person than the Syrian regime.

Sphincter doesn't seem to think he's all that bad, I mean the guy had his limit
Josef Mengele, if you havn't read about him then do it. He's like a horror movie Dr.
Hitler operated in a completely different landscape to what we see today, back then a lot of different cultures were something to be contained rather than included, it made it pretty easy for Hitler to do the things that he did and find like minded individuals. History is littered with instances where particular cultures tried wiping out others due to nothing more than personal belief.
