I don't believe Hurricane Harvey is God's punishment for Houston electing a lesbian mayor. But that is more credible than "climate change."

If I owned a general store and managed to stay open after a disaster like Harvey, I'd charge an arm and a leg for water, too. If I knew people would buy water even at crazy prices, I'd stock the shelves floor to ceiling with as much water as I could get shipped in. Water for everyone! If I had to sell it at a normal price, I wouldn't bother bending over backward to get more, so my stock would run out. No water for anyone.xer0s wrote:Wow. That's criminal.
A store like Best Buy should be giving that shit away...
If I owned Best Buy, though, I think I'd spring for a few water trucks.

Shit is getting real around here. All major stores are sold out of the basic necessities. Gas prices are up .25+ a gallon.
We've got water, propane and hurricane shutters. I just bought a 12kw generator on-line. Let's hope it gets here in time.
Better yet, let's hope this thing turns back into the gulf.

I won't lose a nut making the wrong decision.
