I doubt that, Capt. Onesack.

On Tuesday, the National Weather Service reported the storm had become a Category 5 with sustained winds of 185 miles per hour. That means Irma now ranks among the most powerful hurricanes (as measured by windspeed) ever recorded.

Roughly 10 miles from the east coast and 140 miles from the current south Florida impact point. They are saying it could be a Cat 3 by the time it hits us. I'm still hoping it takes a turn back towards the east.scared? wrote:Hey Gramps... How far from the coast is ur house?... Which side of that shlong shaped state?...

I wasn't planning to leave unless it was a Cat 4+.
More good news. My generator shipped yesterday and I should get it by Friday.

Well, things are progressively getting worse. The storm is currently not tracking east enough to prevent eye wall impact and the projected impact speed in my area has been increased to a Cat 4. To top it all off, my generator isn't going to be here either.

It's almost like you should evacuate.
