Ken Burn's The Vietnam War. I heard that there's a part where some guy becomes worshipped by the locals as some demigod, and then the guy with the "Born to Kill" helmet shoots a girl, a young Morpheus gets shot, and some guy talks about guns and bullets while on the loo. Can't wait for those parts, but so far, I'm digging it.

I find that surprising... seeing as how that's where you lost your legs.

Yup. Ken Burns is a highly acclaimed documentary filmmaker focusing on American history. The Vietnam War is a 10-part documentary of 1.5 hours each. There is a lot of stock film, photographs and interviews telling the story of the Vietnam war from soldiers on all sides, the political situation, and the civil and antiwar movements of the era.

The feeling I have from watching it so far is that it must have been so chaotic to live in that time period, and how so many of the mistakes made in that war are paralleled today in the Middle East.

Episode 7 of Blakes7 that British science fiction television series mentioned earlier, down & dusted.
It is really good to see it again I just hope all episodes are out there somewhere.

Finished of series 3 of Fargo last night, and it's a happy return to form after series 2. Wonderful performances and cinematography all round, whilst retaining that unique Fargo feel.
David Thewlis in particular was a delectable cunt.

Started watching The Handmaid's Tale on hulu with the lady last weekend. Pretty good, pretty messed up situation they're living in. It's one of those shows where I can't watch more than one episode in a row.

I'm binge watching How I Met Your Mother on Netflix. I had already seen a bunch of episodes on TV, but never really in succession. The great thing about HIMYM is that there's an overarching story throughout the episodes which you miss out on if you see individual episodes.

Currently watching the first season of The Good Place. At moments I feel it's a tad too goody-goody for me but then it goes ahead and makes a pretty solid politically incorrect in-your-face joke so I can appreciate that. It's a great series to watch with my girlfriend, especially when mixing it up with Better Call Saul, which turned into quite a heavy bit of weekly TV.
The series is about Eleanor, a woman who died and ended up in "The Good Place" (as opposed to The Bad Place). It turns out she wasn't supposed to go to The Good Place as she was a pretty mean person on Earth. She's now trying to learn how to be a good person without arousing suspicion so she can actually stay. The series just keeps throwing these ethical hardships into view that usually end up being resolved in a humorous manner but rarely have the desired outcome. Alas, you gotta see what happens because it's too easy to spoil it when trying to explain.
Kristen Bell plays the lead role and man is she adorable. Never heard of her before but I really like the way she portrays her character (and apparently, she really really likes sloths)

It's a really good show and would recommend it to anyone.
It's very smartly written, does not resort to filler episodes (yet) and both Darcy Carden and Kristen Bell play their roles most excellently.

Currently watching the german mini series "Babylon Berlin".
It tells about life in Berlin in 1929 with the focus on political, societal and private issues.
It's a very well made affair, really high production value. The way it is told is a bit sloppy sometimes though. I would have wished for the parties' motives to have been better explained earlier on.

Had the opportunity to watch the first 5 minutes of a new Sky-production based on the world of german submarine film/book "Das Boot". That one looks interesting. Grim, dark and claustrophobic.

Any of you watching Manifest?
I am and wondering if I'll continue as it seems to be dragging somewhat.
