Gearing up for a trip the Nurburgring Nordschleife over the next few days. Leave here Sunday, road trip through the UK, France and into Germany. Day in Germany to explore the local area on the Monday, pound round the track on the Tuesday and then drive back home on Wednesday, just in time to get to the 23:30 showing of Endgame in my local cinema...should be a good week :)

LOL... How did I know someone would do that?

A quick glass door search says I make more than the high end salary of an Electrical Engineer in my area (BTW, I'm not an engineer). Primarily because I came highly recommended by the President and one of the firm's long time principles. That recommendation is also why I was able to negotiate for more vacation time than anyone (even the principles) in the company and the only sign-on bonus in the firm's 25+ year history (a substantial one at that).

But you tell yourself whatever you need to feel good, dish jockey.

We were going in an Integra Type R, but my mate so it to buy a CRX :olo:

Here is a video of the Teg going around last October (I couldn't make that trip due to going to Singapore).

This is the Rex we will be using: https://www.6two1.com/6TWO1-Blog/total- ... da-crx-sir

So it should be good fun; light, quick, FWD which will be important for me, given it's my first outing at the ring.

Calm down Jeeves. We all know your wife has to validate your contributions by paying you for something. We just weren't sure "Live-in Maid" was the job title. :olo:

Those are great cars. I almost bought a crx once back in 98 but knew they were a lot of work. I then set my eyes on an acura integra type r but it was the generation before the one from your link. I wanted it so bad but my parents, instead of co signing a small loan for me that I would have paid for instead bought me, without asking me a ford tempo. I was not amused and hated that car for the 3 months I owned it.

Havr fun tho! Should be a blast!

Speaking of cars, I'm contemplating buying this beauty. It's a close toss up between the RS and a Subaru STI.

Sketchy looking blurry video with no discernible features or it didn't happen.

Both are awful cars. Look at a Bmw 140i.

Yeah it was a fairly firm ride, quick response in the turns but my favorite part of that car is hands down the sound it makes, it's just incredible. Sadly I had a change of heart and will not be getting one but when I do get a new car I think the focus RS will be at the top of my list in a few years. It's just an amazing little car.

My mate has the GoPro we used as he ended up getting a 7 and the stabilization on it is insane.

Once the footage has been brought over I will get some uploaded for you to laugh at my incompetence :D

Both would be better than a 140i... That is, if they even sold the 140i in Canada which they do not. A lot of you folks across the pond also don't realize the cost of BMW ownership in the North American region. They're very pricy here and maintenance is a bitch because only specialized dealers and garages know how to service them. Plus a rear wheel drive vehicle in the winter is an absolute nightmare. Both the STI and RS are AWD vehicles which is a factor in what vehicle I'm going to go for next. I'm still negotiating with the dealership for the STI at this point, they're asking too much for it, I think I can get them to put the price down.
