I bet it's very impressive technology. It's a shame it's lost on so many people who just don't know how to take proper photographs. I die a little inside every time I see someone use their phone flash to take a picture of something that's 50 meters away.

Well, nah, it can be handy if you want to take a quick snap of something funny that happened and you want to share it with friends. If it's about taking pictures that you want to have a look at later in life to remember significant events in your life, a high quality DSLR camera is always better.
