Lego Train Crash

With 23M views you may have seen this but it is my first viewing of a Lego movie. Incredibly 9,100 frames. Now that is patience

lol, that dude's brilliant.
The video is a little hard to get into because there's little context but once you get into it, it gets hilarious :)

Anyone encountered this guy before?

He builds courses and races marbles on the courses. In teams. And films them. And times them. And creates stands with marble spectators in them. And does stop-motion animation of the marbles to add to the immersion of a marble sporting event.

lol fuck off with that shit

Quote:
He has accepted more than $1.2 million in money from the fossil-fuel industry over the last decade while failing to disclose that conflict of interest in most of his scientific papers. At least 11 papers he has published since 2008 omitted such a disclosure, and in at least eight of those cases, he appears to have violated ethical guidelines of the journals that published his work.

The documents show that Dr. Soon, in correspondence with his corporate funders, described many of his scientific papers as “deliverables” that he completed in exchange for their money. He used the same term to describe testimony he prepared for Congress.

Though Dr. Soon did not respond to questions about the documents, he has long stated that his corporate funding has not influenced his scientific findings.

I have stumbled upon some kick-ass retro 8-bit styled music by EliteFerrex some time ago and I have to say that this guy knows what a good music should sound like. I like especially his most famous album I Dream in Pixels and I could listen to it all day. My favourite tracks are Adventurarius (featured and linked in YouTube video player below), Pixel Outlaw and Toxic Love. Intro track I Dream in Pixels, 7th track Duel of Champions and the outro track Dream Another Day give me goosebumps...

I can't listen to that style of music without playing a video game to enjoy it but I gotta say the man has talent. If I was making a retro game I'd definitely give this guy a call.

Yeah, totally :) This has the old NES vibe to it, but it still sounds very different and much more vibrant than real NES tune. That's because NES has only 5 voices, whereas EliteFerrex uses many more, using overdubbing and stereo effect. Old NES didn't have stereo at all, not even a fake stereo effect (quick voices interaction together). Commodore 64 had only 3 voices, but their type could be actually changed by the program, which allowed for more vibrant and more sophisticated sound and music effect. And though it was mono, you could easily create a fake stereo effect by using two voices working together. NES was just way more popular and such as Super Mario Bros and their fairly easy tune quite quickly became the favourite of many people. EliteFerrex is by most means an artist. He doesn't try to reproduce it as much as possible to the real original sound of NES. Just an inspiration and that style, but he tries to make the music more interesting and more vibrant than it would be possible with the real NES sound chip...

But yeah, I think that the beauty of NES tunes is fairly underrated and I guess that's what EliteFerrex was trying to say by creating this album. What I find a bit dissapointing is that the album is available only through digital stream and download means (ya know, you just buy it and you can download it then). So I created my own Audio CD mix out of it, for personal use. I am fan of an old tech. If I had the means, I would cut vynil :D

I haven't viewed Dash Cam Australia for a while so I share this beauty. Enjoy :D

If you get a few minutes it is well worth watching to the end as at about 7 minutes a guy drives into flood waters :!:
