I know there’s been some talk about how the numbers are inflated and some deaths aren’t legitimately related to Covid. I for the most part thought it was bullshit and the numbers were fairly accurate. But I have a friend that had a brother in law kill himself last month. He said on the death certificate it explicitly said the cause of death was Covid. So now I’m way more suspicious of these numbers...

Well great. Yesterday I developed symptoms that could be related to covid. Got a slight fever, sore throat, coughing, snotty nose and generally just feeling like shit. Getting tested today.

Sucks. Good friend of mine and his wife caught it at their wedding with only 14 people there in total.

They are ok but it knocked the shit out of them. He couldn’t even walk up the stairs after the flu like symptoms had gone a week after.

Hope it’s a negative

Just got my test results back and it's negative.
Still corona free, yay. Still feeling no less shitty though, but it'll pass.

I wonder how getting corona while having a normal flu works? Is having a normal cold/flu considered an aggravating factor that could increase your chances of it being fatal? Either way, hope you get better and don't die.

Do you wish you’d had it? I know I did when I was tested, just to get it out of the way.

I might've been half a year ago, but not now. There are more and more signs of lasting damage and I'm not really wanting to take that risk.

Also the notion that you can only get it once has been debunked, sadly.
A Dutch person was infected twice and died the second time round :/

My parents in their mid 60s both contracted it a few weeks ago. They're both retired, and have been mostly adhering to the guidelines with distancing and so on.

They both were pretty down and out for nearly two weeks. Neither of them had an issues with breathing, but they said the body aches and fatigue were unreal.

They've mostly recovered, but neither of them have regained their sense of taste or smell.

This is exactly where I stand with this thing. The goal is to not get infected if I can help it at all. Must stay vigilant.

It’s going to become a seasonal flu so you’re all getting it at some point. We just have to hope there’s a good treatment we can pop.

Dude, you don’t want it. There’s too much evidence of lingering effects. Brain fog, heart strain, liver, lung, and other organs with permanent damage. Plus you may unknowingly give it to someone else.

And like they said, there’s evidence you can contact it a second time. So there’s no benefit to contacting it...

Do you have any scientific journals or studies showing it will be a seasonal virus?

I understand that specific case was a woman in her late 80's who had treatment for cancer that disabled her immune system. Her body never created antibodies against the virus.
