Wow, you hit the opposite ends of the spectrum there, Pext. I was surprised to see someone who liked the FF8 story as much as I did, but you totally discredited yourself by saying the Vagrant Story gameplay was good, becuase that was what made the game fall flat on its face.

haha you vagrant story haters are just amateurs

final fantasy VIII was better than VII, but VI I still think is the best one

baldur's gate was dope, but morrowind was better

btw I'm changing my vote to morrowind--I can't believe I forgot about the game I sunk a year and a half into without finishing

btw did anybody ever see the morrowind speedrun video? 14mins from Jiub to killing god... alchemy breaks the game hardcore

Morrowind was dull as fuck. It was like a MMORPG without any players.

I hated morrowind.

And I've always thought the PC had the edge over the consoles on roleplaying - but that's because I favor RPG's that aren't about cute little anime characters. Not to say that there haven't been some great ones on the consoles, but the legends like Baldur's Gate, Planescape: Torment, Ultimas, etc....just can't be beat.

that's oh so true.

but i would not agree with FF6 being superior to FF8. the narration in 6 is to episodesque in the beginning and to loose in the end.
i like the focusedness of FF8.

yeah... the point in the game that is around desert / winter land is a bit boring.
and the boss battles are crap due to the shitty magic system.

lathathefuckwhat? *goes to dictionary.com* "Did you mean lethargic?" --> "Of, causing, or characterized by lethargy." Hmmuhm.

lethargy
n. pl. leth·ar·gies

1. A state of sluggishness, inactivity, and apathy.
2. A state of unconsciousness resembling deep sleep.

Uhu. Yeah...I think I know what the fuck you mean. Fucking finally...Nerds.

Final Fantasy I? Heh. That's one of the worst video games I've ever had the displeasure of wasting my time on.

Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy VI are what you should be looking at.
This line only remake is total rubbish I've ever seen!!! Fuck off!!! --CZghost
