If you want to see how the keys have to be named, do a /bindlist in the console while in game. You will see that, for keypad keys, you need KP_PLUS, KP_MINUS, and so forth. :)

Is this thing still on? Maybe it should be extended another month? I've noticed a few oldie peoples like sat and pho where playing again, they should add something to the demo list (easiest way would be to come to the longue ap osp, start /autorecord and play a ca game or two). :)

The darkened keys are the ones that will abort demoplayback if you push them. The rest can be bound for do stuff if you want.
Just use Seizmovision, it has built in configs that you can change (of course), and it is real easy too.

Well if this does actually happen to happen:

Whoever is recording try using the high quality gfx config from here: http://www.planetquake3.net/tweak/tweaked_configs.html

In addition use Seismovision to ease the whole demo playback thing: http://www.planetquake3.net/seismovision/

Also, Julios made a fabulous demo playback config a while ago that will let you do slowmo, take stuff of the hud, and rotate with the mouse, among other things. I'm sure he wouldn't mind me posting it here: http://individual.utoronto.ca/mdaar/photo.zip

There was a .dll that let you free roam in demos.....I wouldn't know where to find it nowadays, but I remember it was made by Gaz

Damn I remember that. That is a very useful thing to have when recording
and messing with demos. N1 netrex.

As for the camping gaz's dll was a touchy subject last time I remember hearing
about it. But it could all beperfectly fine since the source for Q3 was released?

It's not needed anymore rally. DeFRaG has lots of recamming tools now, and IIRC, Gaz helped them with it :) I'll use it where appropriate ;)

Hey, if you have Xfire, hit me up, i have a request if possible for my demos
[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.

Ok. Last day to upload demos was yesterday. But if you have demos you want in the video, you can still upload, but I've started working on it now, so the more time that passes from here on, the smaller chance the uploaded stuff has to get in the vid.

FTP information:
  • URL: 333fps.net
  • username: q3world
  • password: q3movie
If you don't have an FTP client, you can use this link:

Code: Select all

ftp://q3world:q3movie@333fps.net
and just drag-and-drop the zip or rar file on Internet Explorer. Not sure if this link works in Opera, but it might just. But it didn't in Firefox for me.

me, soapboy,replicant,crinkly,zero,watson,bacon,netrex and ioncannon..

not many, i thought brisk, don carlos, duhard, mkj, chunk and you were adding demos aswell.. :tear:

it dosent have to be awsome demos(belive me..u havent seen my shit yet..:olo: ) and the video was more a tribute to this place and to Q3A... so i defintly thought more peeps would send demos.

i guess netrex can take more demos a day or two.. but then its a stop.
