the first one suffered what any game2movie suffers from; a story made for a broader audience that noone gets cause they never played the game, and people who did play the game thought it sucked cause it was made too mainstream.
FFVII AC is just FFVII the movie. right onto Cloud doing his Climhazzard limit break with matching stance if you never played the game, dont bother. if you did, watch it
I thought that was Omni-slash?
vs weapon? nay

and uh, not playing FFVII because it might look shit? reminder; it is very low poly. backgrounds are all purdy though played that game not a year ago from start to finish agian; its the story that makes the game, not the hairphysics and nailpolies

But if your a hardcore FF7 fan then AC is the only way really
I have just installed FF7 on my PC and found a XP patch.
The next 6 weeks of life will be a blur... :icon32:
I ALMOST switched my PS on straight after the film. Until Chunk's wise reminder that it would just look shit.
Plus I couldn't find the power cable.
Really though, watch this then FF.SW straight after. One is oh-so high quality cutscenes glued together to last 2 hours. The other is a film.
One point is the actual animation and facial expressions. FF:SW looks real and the characters are acting.
In AC, Cloud spends the entire movie with an constant expression that explained nothing more than it probably hurt an awful lot when he took a piss
want a copy of the PC version?
Hardware rendered?
Sure there will be a way to up the rez
640*480 atm which is twice the rez of the PS1 version?

Japanese people are the worst movie makers ever. I have yet to see a japanese movie (or a movie based on a japanese story or whatever) that wasn't complete and total shit.

you have yet to see an actual jap movie then.
Dark Water is a remake, and as with The Ring and The Grudge; its plagued with hollywood scares and influences

It's a personal opinion, of course. But somehow japanese movies always seem very, very clichéd to me. I always go into a movie thinking "Wow, this is japanese, it's going to be totally different!" and I come out thinking "WTF? I thought making the bad guy look ugly went out of style in the 30's?" Seriously, it's so predictable.
I wouldn't exactly call Battle Royal a good movie. A rather shocking concept yes, but in terms of quality it doesn't score much higher than the average Rambo movie.
