q3ctf2 would be nice as a remake. i really like q3ctf2.
some of the mpteam maps are fucking fantastic. i'd love to see some of the TA classics make it into q4. if they don't then i'll start polishing my mapping skills once again.

One of the most over-played maps as well. Although i can hardly imagine that they wouldn't port the all-time favourite Q3 map to Q4, i hope they will include some good other maps that will put dm6 more to the background. I'm sick of it. :icon27:

I can't think of any conversions (of official maps) which came out for Q3 that made it into popular circulation.
ZTN3DM1 made it so big because it came out FAST, and was suited to the physics.

Yeah, I think it's because of the big difference in physics between q3, and past quakes, and the creators didn't take the time to make them play well. aerowalk and ztn are awesome because they feel like they were built for q3.

There are quite a few faithful Q2DM1 conversions for Q3, but in practice none of them work very well. The Edge was made with Q2 physics and weapons in mind and that's when it shines. Since Q4 MP will be more like Q3 than Q2, I wouldn't expect too much of it.
I wouldn't mind seeing back Q2CTF1 (McKinley's Revival) and Q2CTF4 (Outlands). Does anyone know if iD/Raven have plans to include a grapple?

haha i used to play on a server years ago that used to have bigbox in it's rotation as a gauntlet only map. pure chaos since there was usually more than 10 people on the server at any given time.
