Quake 4 Colours (^c???)
Quake 4 Colours (^c???)
I'm not sure if anyone else has done this, but I haven't seen one yet so I put together a simple page that shows all the colours available using Quake 4's ^c??? colour code system.
http://justice-department.net/quake4/q4colours.html
Just find the colour you want, and copy & paste the code into your config. \o/

they already have been, I've had cool names for days now.shiznit wrote:This is complete ownage, now all the noobs will be like wtf is up with dat name.
btw, the only issue with that website is that the colors don't end up matching once you tweak the gamma settings in the game.

Aye, Midnight, you're right. That's why I said the page shows "an approximation". It's good enough to give someone an idea of what "orange" or "pink" should be, though. Many people don't understand red/green/blue so would struggle to come up with something through pure trial and error. I will add a note about gamma to the page.MidnightQ4 wrote:btw, the only issue with that website is that the colors don't end up matching once you tweak the gamma settings in the game.So in the end it is almost as easy to just try out number combos in the game and see how it looks.
I've added this:
Note that if you have altered your brightness and gamma settings, the colour you see in game may be a different shade of the colour you see here, so you may still need to experiment a bit. However, also bear in mind that other people will be using still other settings, so it's probably not worth worrying about exact colours too much because most people probably won't see exactly what you want anyway....
