You realize that you have to strafe to turn, together with the mouse? Btw, you don't have to let go of +forward in order to have air control. Try cruising a map while holding forward and steering with mouse only. It works, but it's slow because you're not bunnyhopping. Also try this: step on the jumppad underneath the MH in cpm3a and hold +forward only and make a smooth 180 degree (anti-clockwise) turn to reach the RL. You can also turn 90 degrees clockwise and then strafe and turn left to go to MH.
