We were supposed to see Saw II, but somehow ended up seeing Pride and Prejudice, which was actually thoroughly entertaining, good acting, good sets and good costumes and a tried and tested story.
One of my lecturers worked on the costumes

i heard that dope from spooks who plays d'arcy isn't bad
The Thing - was half asleep when i watched it but looked like a quality flick. More subtle than modern sci-fi horrors.
Sin City - wow, wasn't expecting anything like that (never saw trailers or anything so didn't know what to expect) - that scene where marv kicks cop ass was great.

The Thing (John Carpenter) was excellent. today's "scary" flicks pale in comparison.
watched Prime with my g/f last night. 6/10. some funny bits, and i must say even though i didn't care for her looks in Kill Bill, Uma Thurman was pretty hot.

Watched that one with the gf and i admit, it's pretty good.
I'll give it a 7-10, mostly because of that one guy who looks like a toad. He was hilarious.

Ring 2 yank version
more of a mysterythriller than a horror.. i found the "Rings" minimovie that came with the dvd a lot more exciting and daring than the movie
