exellent 3dsmax tutorial website addy?

Post by fKd »

im thinking about doing some major mapping. (a cowboy bebop level) and i'm gonna have to make a whole lotta models... can anyone point me in the direction of a good tut site for 3dsmax?

btw... i've got version 8.

i've just been sitting thinking that i've never really gone all out in a level... new models/textures etc... so this is gonna be my big project... it was cowboy bebop or akira... im not 100% sure i've made up my mind yet. looking at user maps... i've discovered its the levels with custom media which make the levels stick out... removing the brown/silver boredem of all id media... why do they always make the same old stuff? makes me think...

ideas for map so far

olympic stadium-akira
the main base (fishing boat)-bebop
sewer-akira
mars-bebop

but yeah... bla bla bla :)

One of your Max CDs should have a huge pile of tutorial content on it. Most of it's pretty good stuff so it's a decent place to start.

(If you bought the downloadable one from Autodesk's site I think the tutorial media is in a seperate package you can get from the same place)

3DBuzz.com has a bunch of tutorials, haven't looked at them recently though to say what they're like. Avoid their Radiant tutorials though, they're pretty terrible.

Yes, the 3dsMAX tutorials is the best place to start. Lots of documentation and tutorials that should get you on your way.
